Death Investigation in Dubuque County

Authorities have identified the Dubuque County man who was killed Wednesday evening while working on a dump truck. The sheriff’s office says 61-year-old Philip Sullivan was pronounced dead at the scene. He was cutting metal on the truck’s frame when the dump box released and fell – pinning him between the box and frame. Officials were called to the home on Fagan Road in rural Bernard about 7pm. The Dubuque County medical examiner and Key West ambulance assisted at the scene.
