Six new trees have been planted in the city of Delhi with the help of a $1500 grant. The grant is from Power of Trees, a Black Hills Energy and Trees Forever partnership. With the grant money, the Delhi Tree Committee purchased six trees for the city park. Three of the trees are Silver Linden and the other three are Red Oak. The trees were planted around the Delhi Legion building in a ceremony held last week. There is no cost to the City of Delhi to plant the trees as the Delhi Betterment Committee covered the cost of mulch for the trees.
