As Dubuque County prepares to see an increase in coronavirus cases, testing shortages could prove to be a concern. Much like the rest of the state, the number of cases is expected to peak in two weeks. Dubuque County Supervisor, Dave Baker, said while he does not expect to see mass infections such as those in major cities, he is prepared to see a similar trend. Despite the lack of access to testing, Baker said he is assured in the county’s ability to tackle the pandemic. Baker said the Dubuque County Board could consider adding additional testing sites, such as drive-thrus and canopy. However, there has not been a formal discussion at this time.
