Unemployment Claims Increase In Iowa

Iowa Workforce Development is reporting another big spike in initial unemployment claims.  Officials say more than 58-thousand workers filed first-time claims last week related to the coronavirus pandemic.  Over 13-million dollars of unemployment insurance benefits were paid for the week ending on March 27th.  Nearly 41-thousand people filed claims the previous week in Iowa.
