Police say six people have been arrested for a fracas in a Dubuque hotel this week that involved pepper spray and left one person severely injured. 22 year old Matthew Adams of Dubuque and 18 year old Hannah Anderson of Hazel Green were both arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. On Thursday, Anderson pleaded guilty to a simple misdemeanor charge. Adams is next scheduled to appear in court May 28th. Police were called to the Holiday Inn Wednesday morning. Officers arrived to find 22 year old Samuel Paisley outside with a severe injury to his face. Paisley was taken to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital where he was treated. Reports say Paisley and Anderson rented a room for the night and invited Adams and four juveniles over to the room to hang out. Paisley told police that three of the teens jumped him later when he went to their room to confront them about a missing phone charger. Later, a fight broke out, at which point Anderson sprayed pepper spray into the teens’ room. All four teens were charged with disorderly conduct.
