Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has announced that high schools in Iowa would be allowed to resume school-sponsored activities starting June 1st. The Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union had both been hoping the summer high school sports season for boys baseball and girls softball could still be played this year. Both will now coordinate their efforts with the Iowa Department of Education to develop guidelines for a potental return.
