Sentencing was announced Monday for an Iowa man who led a meth distribution ring in the Dubuque area. A report from the US Attorney’s Office shows 48-year-old Brian Ausborn of Fort Dodge was given a 25-year sentence in federal prison. He previously had pled guilty to charges of conspiracy to distribute meth along with possession with intent to distribute meth. Authorities say Ausborn worked with two other people in buying large amounts of meth and selling it around Dubuque. He also has prior felony convictions in Iowa for drug-related charges. Following his time in prison, Ausborn must serve 10 years of supervised release.
