Mediacom Scam

Authorities in Dubuque are warning residents of a scam regarding a person pretending to be a cable TV representative. A Dubuque Police Department post states that they’ve received reports of a male going door to door, posing as a Mediacom employee, offering new rates on cable TV service. The individual did convince at least one resident to let him inside to review a recent cable bill to compare prices and asked for personal information. Please remember not to allow unknown people into your home and never give out your personal information.
