Dubuque Police Make Arrest In Drive By Shooting

Dubuque Police have arrested 24 year old Javarise Jackson and 24 year old Deonte Massey-Beavers both of Dubuque on arrest warrants related to a shooting investigation from July 22^nd. 26 year old Denzel Hayes of Dubuque was treated for a gunshot wound to his leg after he was shot by someone in a passing vehicle. Investigators utilized the City of Dubuque traffic camera system to track the suspect vehicle and ultimately identified Jackson and Massey-Beavers as the occupants of the vehicle.
Jackson is charged with Carrying Weapons, Reckless Use of a Firearm Causing Bodily Injury, Going Armed with Intent, and Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon. Massey-Beavers is charged with Reckless Use of a Firearm Causing Bodily Injury, Going Armed with Intent, Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon and Possession of a Firearm by a Domestic Abuse Offender.
