Finkenauer Concedes 1st District Race to GOP Challenger Hinson

Congresswoman Abby Finkenauer has officially conceded to state Representative Ashley Hinson in Iowa’s First District race. Finkenauer says that she called Hinson to offer congratulations after reviewing available data on outstanding absentee ballots. Hinson called Finkenauer’s concession very gracious. Finkenauer said in a statement “I respect our democratic process and the will of the voters.” She says much work remains in the weeks before end of her term.
