A clogged sanitary sewer line on Stafford Street and Althauser Street in Dubuque caused untreated wastewater to flow onto the street and into the storm sewer system. The City of Dubuque Public Works Department was notified of the clogged line around 4 p.m. Sunday. Crews worked to remove the blockage and flow was directed back into the pipe by 5:00 p.m. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources cautions people to keep their children and pets away from the area, which is posted, for forty-eight hours. For more information, contact the Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ Manchester Field Office at 563-927-2640 or John Klostermann with the City of Dubuque Public Works Department at 563-589-4250.
