Delaware County Man Slashes Brother With Knife

Authorities say a Delaware County man slashed his brother with a knife during an altercation Sunday night. 31 year old Austin McDowell of Manchester was arrested Sunday at a residence in Delaware on charges of first-degree burglary, assault while participating in a felony, going armed with intent, willful injury, use of a dangerous weapon, and assault with intent to inflict serious injury. Reports say Austin McDowell started arguing with his brother, Jacob McDowell in a shed. He then pulled out a knife and swung it at his brother, cutting him on the right side of the abdomen. Jacob McDowell was also arrested on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
