Name Released in Suspicious Death

Dubuque Police have released the identity of the elderly woman found dead in a home last week. Authorities say police and fire officials discovered the body 80-year-old Berniece Williamson inside a home along Clarke Drive about 4:45 last Thursday evening. Crews were initially called to the home for a medical assist and found Williamson deceased. Police have said this case is a suspicious death investigation – however, no other details related to her death have been released at this time. Officers say that an investigation is ongoing.
