Simmons Pet Food Gathering

Several local officials and economic development leaders came together Wednesday to highlight completition of a new production facility in Dubuque. Company representatives led the celebration at Simmons Pet Food – which began operations earlier this month. So far, the $100-million dollar facility has hired 150 people – with staffing expected to expand in the near future. The event on Wednesday also included a ceremonial ribbon cutting – as the pet food manufacturer has renovated the former Flexsteel Industries site.
