A lightning strike ignited a fire early Wednesday at a Dubuque apartment building. Firefighters arrived just after 2am at an apartment building on Hillcrest Road and saw flames coming from the roof of the building. Reports say the fire was contained to one apartment. Four apartments were evacuated. One apartment suffered heavy fire damage, and the three other apartments received light smoke damage. There were no injuries Ten fire department units responded to the blaze, and the fire was under control within 10 minutes. The final unit cleared the scene at 5:30 a.m. The damage to the building was estimated at around $30,000.
