Officials say a 16-year-old from Dubuque is being charged as an adult with 1st-degree robberty. Police say Tyshaun McKinney is accused of an armed robbery Sunday at a Kwik Stop on Central Avenue. According to reports, McKinney pointed a handgun at a cashier and demanded money. He also forced the cashier to a back room and then left with around $300-dollars in cash. Investigators used traffic camera footage to track McKinney to a residence on Central Avenue, about 10 blocks away from the convenience store. He was arrested shortly after 7p Sunday. A search of the residence turned up clothing worn during the robbery, money and a handgun – which was reported stolen last week.
