Deere & Company officials say talks have started with union reps to get a new deal in place. According to a release, Deere is negotiating with the United Auto Workers on a new contract agreement. That union covers more than 10-thousand production and maintenance employees at Deere’s 12 facilities – including it’s Dubuque operation. The current contract – which was approved in 2015 – is set to expire October 1st.
