Man Arrested For Assault With Baking Sheet

Police say a man has been arrested for assaulting his then-girlfriend with a baking sheet and threatened her with a knife last year in Dubuque. 22 year old Zanzibah Stewart of Mason City, Iowa, was arrested recently on a warrant charging domestic assault while displaying a weapon and domestic assault with injury. A report says that Stewart assaulted 23 year old Cayla Pettit in January 2020 at their residence in Dubuque. Pettit told police that she and Stewart were arguing when Stewart “assaulted her by hitting her about the face and struck her with a baking sheet. Stewart also threatened Pettit with a knife.
