Primary Election Day on Tuesday

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the City of Dubuque primary election tomorrow.  All mailed ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. Tuesday to the Dubuque County Elections Office at the Dubuque County Courthouse on Central Avenue in order to be counted. The postmark on a mailed ballot is no longer taken into consideration. Two races will be on the ballots, and all city of Dubuque residents can vote in both races. Tim Flynn, Michaela Freiburger, incumbent Ric Jones and Louis Mihalakis are running for an at-large Dubuque City Council seat. Brad Cavanagh, Antonino Erba, John H. Miller, David Resnick and April White are running for mayor. The top two vote-getters in each race advance to the meet in the general election on November 2nd.
