Dubuque Authorities Say Peosta Homeowner Shot Man

Authorities in Dubuque County have released more information about a shooting early Tuesday in Peosta. Deputies say 29-year-old Desmond Jimerson got into a disturbance at a home Monday with Rachel Wright. Jimerson later returned to the house and was asked to leave by home-owner Marcus Neal. Investigators say Neal tried to shut the door, but Jimerson pushed it open and forced his way inside. That’s when Neal shot him multiple times. Jimerson was taken to a Dubuque hospital and is in stable condition.
