A Dubuque man has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a girl younger than 16. 30 year old Daniel Brazier entered the plea in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County to two counts of third-degree sexual abuse. Brazier now faces a 10-year prison sentence. However, his plea document states that he seeks a deferred judgment. With a deferred judgment, if probation and payment obligations are successfully completed, the record of the case is expunged. A report says that Brazier sexually abused a girl younger than 16 twice in the past year – once at a park in Dubuque County and once at a residence. Brazier’s sentencing hearing has been set for December 28th.
