A vacancy on Northeast Iowa Community College’s Board of Trustees will be filled by appointment after the board’s chairman stepped down. Ken Reimer recently marked his last day on the board after serving as a trustee since 1997. Reimer chose to step down from his position due to health reasons. Reimer’s seat will be filled by appointment, and board members will interview interested candidates with plans to appoint someone to the seat at their November 15th meeting. The seat represents the MFL MarMac, Central, Clayton Ridge, Edgewood-Colesburg and Maquoketa Valley school districts, as well as a small portion of the Dubuque Community School District. The appointee will serve until the seat comes up for election in 2023.
