The City Maquoketa has hired a city manager. At a special meeting Monday, City Council members approved the terms of an employment agreement for Josh Boldt, who had been serving as assistant city manager in DeKalb, Illinois. Boldt has signed a letter of intent and terms of employment with the City of Maquoketa. The 33 year old Boldt is expected to start in the city manager position on January 11th and will be paid an annual salary of $120,000.
