A man from Dyersville has been sentenced to two to five years of probation for stealing a smoker from a Dubuque grocery store. 37 year old Allan Flores was sentenced in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to a charge of first-degree theft. A report says police were called to Hy-Vee, on Dodge Street on August 13th because the store’s stainless steel, trailer-mounted smoker had been stolen. Employees believed they last saw the smoker a few days beforehand. It was valued at more than $16,000. Dubuque traffic camera footage showed a vehicle hauling the smoker away on August 10th. Allan Flores and 47 year old Kimberly Flores of Dyersville, were identified as the individuals in the vehicle.
