Woman Punches Officer

A 27-year-old woman faces multiple charges after punching a Dubuque officer while police were investigating a domestic dispute. According to a report, Angellea Blackburn was arrested on charges of domestic assault with a weapon, assault on a person in a certain occupation, and interference with officials acts. Police were called to an apartment complex on Butterfield Road in Dubuque around 6:15 Wednesday morning. Officers say Blackburn assaulted her boyfriend – 34-year-old Eric Tillis. She also chased Tillis with a military style knife around the building. The two were locked in a bedroom when authorities arrived. As police tried to force their way into the room, Blackburn punched an officer in the face. Personal defense spray was used to take Blackburn into custody.
