A Dubuque City Council work session on the future of Five Flags Center has been rescheduled. The council will meet at 6:30 pm Wednesday at the Historic Federal Building to discuss the proposed $74 million project to construct a larger Five Flags Center and whether to hold a referendum asking the public’s permission to borrow funds for the project. The work session originally was to be held in late January, but it was postponed. Council members originally intended to hold the vote on the project in 2020. However, they postponed the vote with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and agreed not to discuss re-scheduling it until this month.
