Dubuque police say they continue to investigate a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred in January. 69 year old Linda VanderMeulen of Dubuque died at the scene of the crash which happened January 21st at the entrance of the Port of Dubuque Parking Ramp adjacent to Diamond Jo Casino. A report states that 86 year old Norman LeGrand, of Dubuque was driving south on Bell Street and turning into the entrance of the parking ramp when his vehicle struck VanderMeulen, who was crossing the entrance. Police say the case remains an active investigation for police, although no charges have been filed.
