Dubuque Community School Board members are expected to consider an agreement with an architect for a school solar project at their meeting today (March 14). The board will meet at 5:30pm at the Forum on Chaney Road. The meeting agenda includes consideration of an $18,500 agreement with Straka Johnson Architects for a solar project at Sageville Elementary School. District officials plan to install 237 solar panels on the school’s roof, as well as a five-battery backup array. Also on the board’s agenda is consideration of a matching state incentive for teachers, counselors and nurses and approval of student and facility rental fee schedules for the 2022-2023 school year.
