Probation For Dubuque Man

A 20-year-old Dubuque man will serve 5 years of probation after taking a plea deal related to sex crimes involving a girl under the age of 14. A report shows Dante Brandenburg pled guilty to a charge of lascivious acts with a child. As part of his deal, a charge of 3rd-degree sexual abuse was dismissed. Police investigated an incident of sexual assault between the girl and Brandenburg that happened in early 2021. A district court judge added to Brandenburg’s sentence that could serve 10 years in prison if he violates the terms of his probation.
