Two Arrests and Several Citations Issued In Traffic Enforcement

Authorities conducting a special traffic enforcement project in Dubuque County arrested two people and issued more than a dozen traffic citations. Two people were arrested for drug possession and authorities issued five citations for speeding, two citations for stop sign and traffic light violations and 11 other traffic or equipment citations on April 20th. A release from the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department says the department was joined in the project by the Iowa State Patrol and the Peosta and Asbury police departments. Authorities also issued one warning for not wearing a seatbelt and 45 warnings for other traffic violations or equipment issues.
