Hempstead Senior Scores A Perfect 36 on the ACT Test

Hempstead High School incoming senior Cora Harvey achieved a perfect score of 36 on the ACT test. Only about 4,000 out of over 1.3 million students nationwide scored a 36. Cora was honored for her achievement at this week’s meeting of the Dubuque Community School Board. Superintendent Stan Rheingans said her score marked only the third time in his 10 years as superintendent that a student in the district had earned a perfect 36. She’ll be presented with a laptop in honor of her achievement. Cora is the daughter of Mike and Melissa Harvey.
