Intoxicated Driver Crashes Car Into Tree in Dubuque

Police say an intoxicated driver was injured when his vehicle crashed into a tree Sunday night in Dubuque. 28 year old Wil Hunemuller of Dubuque was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment. According to Dubuque police, the crash happened just before midnight Sunday on North Grandview Avenue near the intersection with Bennett Street. A police report says that Hunemuller was driving south when he lost control of his vehicle, which crashed into a tree in the median. Hunemuller was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated and cited with failure to maintain control of his vehicle, failure to provide proof of financial liability and operating a motor vehicle without a registration card or plate.
