Hinson Released From Hospital, Debate Canceled

U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson was released from a hospital this morning after treatment for a kidney infection. Hinson had been admitted Sunday night to UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids for treatment. Hinson said in a statement released this morning that she is feeling much better, and “will continue resting at home,” and that she looks forward to returning to the campaign soon. Iowa PBS announced Monday afternoon that a debate scheduled for tonight between Hinson and her Democratic challenger, Iowa Senator Liz Mathis of Hiawatha has been canceled.
