A pair of Jackson County campgrounds are closed due to rising Mississippi River levels. According to Jackson County Conservation, campgrounds at Spruce Creek Park in Bellevue, and South Sabula Lake Park in Sabula will remain closed until further notice. The National Weather Service says the Mississippi River stood at 14.11 feet as of at 8 a.m. today at Bellevue and was rising. Flood stage is 17 feet at Bellevue. The river was expected to reach 15.7 feet by Wednesday.
