Fish Without a License in Iowa This Weekend

Iowa residents can fish without a license this weekend. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says the state’s free fishing weekend is Friday through Sunday. A press release from the Iowa DNR states that all other fishing regulations remain in place. Visit the Iowa DNR website for a list of easily accessible, stocked lakes and ponds. Fishing licenses allow anglers to fish throughout the year and are available online at iowadnr.gov/Fishing/Buy-Your-License. Resident licenses are $22 per year. Non-resident licenses are $48 per year.
