Police Identify Victim of Stabbing Incident

Police have identified the victim of a stabbing yesterday morning in Dubuque. 32 year old Alberto Hernandez-Avilo of Dubuque was treated and released from UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital after suffering minor injuries. According to the Dubuque Police Department, officers and first responders were dispatched at about 6:10 a.m. to the area of University and Pennsylvania avenues where they made contact with Hernandez-Avilo, who had a stab wound to the abdomen. Police believe the stabbing resulted from a dispute between two individuals earlier in the morning in the 3600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
