Jochum Named To Lead Democrats In Iowa Senate

Senator Pam Jochum of Dubuque has been named to serve as the Democratic leader of the Iowa Senate. Iowa Senate Democrats announced late last night they had chosen Jochum, of Dubuque, to lead the party in the chamber. She replaces state Sen. Zach Wahls, D-Coralville. Jochum is in her fourth term in the Iowa Senate, where she represents the city of Dubuque and part of Dubuque County. Before joining the Senate in 2009, she had served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 1994.
