A Bernard man is the winner of a nearly $400,000 lottery jackpot from a ticket he purchased last month in Dubuque County. According to the Iowa Lottery, 31 year old Nick Miller won $390,191 in the Super 7s Progressive InstaPlay game on June 24. He purchased the winning ticket at Casey’s, in Cascade and claimed his prize Monday at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Clive. According to a release, Miller had just gotten engaged to his fiancée, Lauren Timmerman, on June 23 and stopped by Casey’s the next morning on his way to go work cattle with his brother. Miller noticed while at the store that the Super 7s Progressive InstaPlay jackpot was nearly $400,000 and decided to buy a ticket.
