The Dyersville City Council has approved wage increases for some city employees. In a report, City Administrator Mick Michel said the wage increases were based on a compensation study the council commissioned in early 2021. The wage changes were also already included in the 2024 budget. Compensation for the police department is calculated using a different resolution the council approved several years ago when it was discovered that many officers were seeking employment in other communities where the pay was higher.
