Proposed School District Calendars For Dubuque Schools Released

Dubuque Community School District officials have released proposed school calendars for the next two school years that would eliminate weeklong spring breaks. The draft calendars for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years are similar to calendars the district has followed for the past several years, but a week of spring break has been swapped out for a four-day weekend around Easter and winter break has been slightly lengthened. District officials now seek public feedback on the calendars before they are expected to come before the full board for a vote next month. Under the proposal, the 2024-2025 school year will begin August 23, 2024 and ends May 29, 2025.
