Unemployment rates in local Iowa counties decreased in November compared to a month earlier. Dubuque County’s unemployment rate was 2.7% in November, down from the 3.1% recorded in October and up from the 2.5% recorded in November 2022, according to Iowa Workforce Development. Elsewhere in the state, Clayton County’s unemployment rate was 3% in November, compared to 3.2% in October and 3% in November 2022. Delaware County’s rate was 2.3%, down from 2.6% in October and up from 2.1% a year ago. Jackson County’s rate was 3%, down from 3.4% in October and up from 2.7% a year ago. Iowa’s statewide unemployment rate was 3.3% in November, up from 3.2% in October and up from 3.1% a year ago.
