Sutton and Flora Pools To See $1 Increase in Admission

Dubuque City Council members voted, 7-0, to approve a request by Leisure Services Director Marie Ware to increase program and services fees, rental fees and product sale prices by 5%, and to increase the cost of admission to Flora and Sutton pools by $1. Recent wage and operating-cost increases in fiscal year 2023 created a $231,000 impact on the upcoming 2025 fiscal year budget. Ware says the fee increases will help offset some of those costs and reduce the amount of tax dollars needed to run the department.
