South Wayne man sentenced to jail for death of nearly 200 goats

A southwest Wisconsin man has been sentenced to two years in jail for the deaths of nearly 200 goats.  32-year-old Kyle Lincicum of South Wayne, recently received the sentence from Circuit Court Judge Duane Jorgensen in Lafayette County Circuit Court after pleading guilty to charges of 10 counts of mistreatment of animals, 10 counts of failure to provide proper food and drink for confined animals, one count of timely disposition of a carcass, one count of theft and one count of transferring another’s personal property. Lincicum also will serve five years of probation after his release and pay restitution costs. As part of a plea deal, charges of 10 counts of mistreatment of animals, 10 counts of failure to provide proper food and drink for confined animals and four counts of timely disposition of carcasses were dismissed. Also charged in connection with the incident was Lincicum’s wife, Stephanie M. Lincicum, 33, of South Wayne, who previously pleaded no contest to the same charges and was sentenced to 18 months in jail.
