The Stateline Anti-Narcotics Team has arrested and charged (4) four people after a search warrant was executed on March 20th in Gratiot. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department handled the initial investigation since authorities had been contacted regarding a child welfare concern. The Stateline Anti-Narcotics Team was notified due to a potential drug crime connected to the child welfare situation. 40 year old Justin D. Fern and 36 year old Leah D. Stocks were renting the residence. In addition to numerous drug charges, Fern and Stocks have been cited with One Felony Count of Neglecting a Child Under (6) Six with a Disability. The other (2) two people arrested were in the residence at the time the search warrant was being conducted. They have been identified as 38 year old Jon J. Simmons and 43 year old Josh S. Simmons, both of Gratiot. They face a number of drug and bail jumping charges.
