A juvenile is facing numerous charges after police said they stole from a convenience store in Monona and later stole a vehicle, crashed into a house and was later arrested in Wisconsin. In a press release, police said it started when officers were called to a Kwik Star in Monona for a juvenile who had shoplifted some alcohol. As officers searched for the suspect, a car was reportedly stolen and crashed into a house. The stolen vehicle was later found heading into Marquette, where the suspect crossed over into Wisconsin. Officers pulled the vehicle over on Highway 18 just into Crawford County, Wisconsin, near the National Wildlife Refuge parking lot. The suspect initially refused to comply with commands from officers, but later exited the vehicle. Officers said he showed signs of impairment. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office processed the suspect for OWI and the juvenile is charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, Theft 2nd Degree, Reckless Driving), Two counts Theft 5th Degree, Trespassing, No Driver’s License, No Seatbelt, and Possession of Alcohol Under Legal Age.
