A Delaware County woman who was driving a UTV in a 2021 rollover crash that killed a passenger has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter. 27 year old Hanna Meese of Edgewood entered the plea in Iowa District Court of Delaware County, and a sentencing hearing is set for April 16th. Meese initially was charged with homicide by vehicle-operating while intoxicated. A report says that Meese intends to seek a deferred judgment in the case and one year of probation. With a deferred judgment, if probation and payment obligations are successfully completed, the record of the case is expunged. Prosecutors have not agreed to the deferred judgment but have stated they do not intend to pursue jail time at the time of sentencing.Â
