A Dubuque man has been sentenced to two years of probation for a January domestic assault.47 year old David Miller received the sentence from Iowa District Associate Judge Mark Hostager in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to a charge of domestic assault causing injury. If he violates the terms of his probation, Miller faces up to two years in prison. The charges stem from a January 28th incident in which state police responded to the area of White and East 24th streets for a report of an assault. A report says Miller walked into the bedroom of 37 year old Camisha Dixon and assaulted her. Miller was arrested after an hourlong standoff with police.
