The Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department responded just before 10 am on Monday (April 15th) to a house fire at 1447 Bluff Road. Â Fire Chief Gerry Oberbroeckling said no one was at home when the fire started. Â The fire was still contained to the first floor when fire fighters arrived at the scene. Oberbroeckling indicated the house was a total loss with the fire, smoke and water damage. Â The cause is still under investigation and fire fighters were on the scene for almost 3 (three) hours. Dickeyville Fire and Rescue provided mutual aid.
