Two pets died in a house fire Sunday afternoon in Dubuque. The Dubuque Fire Department responded just after 4pm to a house fire on Hale Street. A passerby reported smoke coming from the building. A report says responding units included two ladder trucks, three engines, an ambulance and an incident command vehicle. Firefighters deployed a hose line into the home and extinguished the fire within a few minutes of arrival. Firefighters removed a deceased dog and cat from the residence. There were no human injuries. Fire officials continue to investigate the incident.Â
