Dubuque Man Accused Of Stealing Jewelry From His Mother

Police say a Dubuque man stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from his mother. 51 year old Douglas Winner of Dubuque was arrested Wednesday at his residence on a charge of first-degree theft against an older individual. A report says that Winner’s mother, a Dubuque resident, contacted police on March 29 to report the theft of at least 17 pieces of jewelry, with an estimated value of over $35,000. The woman was not certain when the thefts occurred, but the police investigation showed the jewelry was taken at least between January 2023 and March 29th this year.
